She graduated with Highest Honors from Nova Southeastern University and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner education at The Ohio State University. Ohio State’s Family Nurse Practitioner program is recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report and Laura graduated amongst the top students in her program.
Her clinical expertise has been developed through specialized roles in progressive care, telemetry, emergency medicine, rheumatology, and complex lipid management. While working at The University of Kansas Health System’s Atherosclerosis and LDL Apheresis Clinic, she also contributed to cardiovascular research.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has provided patient-centered care in emergency medicine, family medicine, and direct-care settings. She has also served as a clinical nursing instructor, helping educate and prepare the next generation of nurses.
Her dedication to compassionate, skilled care has been recognized through multiple National DAISY Award nominations and her selection as a DAISY Award recipient. Still, the recognition that matters most to her is creating an experience where every patient feels heard, respected, supported, and genuinely cared for.
